[What the role is]

You will assist in Horticulture Outreach’s work, specifically in the area of Heritage Trees including the research and curation of new content for the website, development of new Heritage Trees website (on Open Government Products’ Isomer) and educational resources, inspection of Heritage Trees, and assist in internal training programmes on horticulture and botany.

[What you will be working on]
- Research and curate content for Heritage Trees website and educational resources
- Website planning, design and development, content migration and verification for Heritage Trees website on Open Government Products’ Isomer (Phase I)
- Collect feedback from stakeholders for refinement of website
- Photograph plants and trees in the field for outreach materials
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (IT, Communications & Community Engagement departments, etc.) to ensure alignment of content and digital media materials with prevailing guidelines
- Support operational work of Heritage Trees scheme (e.g. inspections, scheduling and staffing Heritage Tree Panel meetings)
- Participate and assist the team in internal training programmes on horticulture and botany such as workshops and colloquiums

[ What we are looking for]
- Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Management, Landscape Design, or a relevant field
- At least 3 years’ experience in horticulture or botany-related field
- ISA-Certified Arborist certification will be an advantage
- Good plant identification skills will be an advantage
- Graphic design skillset will be an advantage
- Able to work independently and multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties
- Able to work well in a team and contribute to the team’s objectives
- Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays for outreach events when required
