**About the Business Risk Advisory team**

We are looking for an Experienced Associate, regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering/Counter-terrorism Financing and operational/enterprise risks for the financial services industry to be part of our Business Risk Advisory team.
**Responsibilities**
- Support the management team in building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Assist in the planning and execution of clients’ projects and play a key role in the successful delivery of services to our clients
- Involved in planning and conduct research on client background and key risks, including the applicable MAS regulations for financial institutions (e.g. Financial Advisers Act, Securities and Futures Act and Payment Services Act)
- Assist with the development and defining the scope of review, propose tailored audit work program and time schedules. Coordinate with client on kick off meeting with client and other necessary planning activities.
- Perform interviews/workshops with key stakeholders/senior management and testing of complex / non-routine areas of focus/areas in scope including the development and completion of work programs.
- Provide guidance to junior team member(s), review the work of junior team member(s), schedule closing meeting with client and prepare closing meeting slides
- Assist in the preparation of the draft and final written reports covering the findings (control issues/gaps/risks) and propose corrective action plans, including industry best practices, to the management or/and any final clients’ agreed deliverables
- Assist in the wrap up audit work files, and closure of the engagement
- Understand of compliance, regulatory, risk or control matters
- Willingness to travel on overseas assignments
**Qualifications and skills**
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field
- At least 2-3 complete years of relevant experience gained in a risk and control and compliance position in a commercial environment, or in a big public accounting firm
- Professional qualification (CPA, CA, CIA) is highly preferred but not a pre-requite
- Some knowledge of the Financial Services industry is preferred (i.e., Banking and Capital markets, Wealth and Asset Management, Insurance and Payment Services)
- In-depth technical knowledge of relevant areas including experience in compliance functions, regulatory compliance (including financial crime, Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), Outsourcing), risk management, etc.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently, to evaluate complex situations and to issue appropriate and pragmatic recommendations and multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, be highly motivated and a team player
Drive and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients to help grow the practice, including supporting the preparation of proposals and business development materials

- Strong sense of accountability, good time management and project management skills for the assigned tasks and projects
- Effective report writing skills, proficiency with MS Office and Visio, strong analytical, well developed interpersonal and communication skills
