**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Data Governance Implementation:

- Develop and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Master Data Management (MDM):

- Implement and manage MDM solutions to maintain a single, trusted view of core business data.
- Oversee the integration of MDM with other data systems and processes.
- Data Quality:

- Establish data quality standards and metrics to monitor and improve data quality.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Data Catalog and Data Acquisition:

- Create and maintain a comprehensive data catalog to help employees understand and utilize data assets effectively.
- Develop and manage data acquisition processes to ensure high-quality data from external suppliers and internal sources.
- Project Management Office (PMO):

- Lead the PMO for the Data Science team, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of data science projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across China, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand to align project goals with business objectives.
- Team Management and Development:

- Manage a team of 3 employees, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment to help team members develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans for team members.
- Hands-On Data Management:

- Engage in hands-on data management activities, including data integration, data modeling, and data analysis.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the Data Science team and other stakeholders.
- Pharmaceutical Business Understanding:

- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to data management.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data governance, data management, and project management.
- Proven experience in implementing data governance frameworks and MDM solutions.
- Strong background in data quality management and data cataloging.
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry or a deep understanding of its data-related challenges.
- Demonstrated success in managing data science projects across multiple countries, specifically in China, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
- Experience in managing and developing a team.

**Skills**:

- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in data management tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in one or more APAC region languages is a plus.
