Job Title: Cafe Assistant at Beta Cafe, Project Send Gym
Location: Project Send Gym, Singapore
Position Type: Full-Time & Part Time
Reporting to: Head of Cafe

**Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Customer Service:

- Greet and serve customers in a polite, professional, and proactive manner.
- Efficiently take orders, process payments, and serve food and drinks.
- Ensure timely service and keep track of orders.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cafe dining area.

Kitchen/Food Preparations:

- Prepare and plate food according to SOPs.
- Follow recipes and ensure quality of food preparations.
- Manage kitchen tools, surfaces, chillers, and freezers.
- Organize daily preparations and mise en place for service.
- Monitor and maintain ingredient freshness.

Barista Role/Drinks Preparations:

- Learn, calibrate, and maintain coffee machines and grinders.
- Understand coffee fundamentals and perform basic latte art.
- Adhere to SOPs for hot and iced drink preparations.

Cleanliness:

- Wash dishes, cups, and cutlery.
- Keep kitchen, dining area, storeroom, and all surfaces clean.
- Sweep and mop floors as required.
- Maintain clean and unclogged sinks.

Ingredients, Planning, and Ordering:

- Follow FIFO for ingredient usage.
- Assist in inventory and stock management.
- Identify and report low stock or order needs.
- Minimize waste of food and ingredients.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Uphold cafe standards for service, food, and drinks.
- Understand and manage cafe workflow.
- Handle both opening and closing shifts following SOPs.
- Train and oversee new part-timers to maintain standards.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation and safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of coffee and barista skills.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
