Senior Staff Cloud Architect

Our team is an agile fast-moving team, responsible for building, operating, and managing Seagate’s cloud infrastructure. A blend of infrastructure skill sets makes this a cross-functional team that delivers the technology that serves millions of daily active users. Our projects range from working with private, public, and hybrid cloud services to network troubleshooting to reliability instrumentation and monitoring.

**About the role - you will**:

- Design and architect cloud-based solutions based on best practices using laaS and PaaS deployment models
- Bring to table the latest and best cloud software development practices for highly scaled solutions engineered for one or more of: low latency, high availability, high throughput.
- Liaise with developers and operations

**Your experience includes**:

- Design and architect cloud-based solutions based on best practices using laaS and PaaS deployment models
- Bring to table the latest and best cloud software development practices for highly scaled solutions engineered for one or more of: low latency, high availability, high throughput.
- Challenge and inspire customers and peers to solve difficult problems with novel solutions, leveraging a sophisticated set of technical competences
- Manage the go-to-market strategy from technical perspective. Craft the strategy to transform the customers, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Lyve Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
- Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Lyve Cloud.
- Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
- Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines

**Location**:
The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available. Being a purpose built building, The Shugart has excellent employee recreational facilities. Take an active break at our badminton courts, table tennis tables, in-house gym and recreation rooms. Our yoga and zumba classes are very popular. We also offer classes and interest groups in photography, gardening and foreign languages, and have various on-site celebrations, and community volunteer opportunities.

In response to COVID-19, this position may temporarily begin and be performed remotely. Seagate is actively evaluating the virus and our employees' health and safety are our top priority. In the future, this position will report to and be performed at our SSDC - The Shugart location.
