Risk Technology is a highly collaborative and results-oriented team. We work closely with the Risk Management and Quantitative Research group to build and maintain a vital and high-profile system, which supports the business to enhance the Firm’s risk-adjusted performance and protect the Firm from excessive exposure.

**What you’ll do**

As a software engineer on our Risk Technology team, you will use your programming expertise to advance the performance of our risk management systems, valuation engines, and analytic capabilities within Point72’s Risk department. In this role you will:

- Build analytical tools on a next generation technology platform to facilitate rapid, ad-hoc understanding of performance and risk for portfolio managers, senior management, risk managers and analysts
- Develop quantitative understanding of risk to anticipate the requirements of our team
- Innovate and improve our capabilities to deliver high quality products to our business partners

**What’s required**
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
- Training in computer science, math, physics or related technical field
- Programming experience in a quantitative environment with statistic models or complex aggregations
- Awesome team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills with peers and clients
- Problem solving skills with deep understanding of core computer science algorithms and data structures
- Experience within a mix of related technologies including C#, Python, NodeJS/React and SQL
- Experience designing, building and delivering end to end software solutions
- Experience with VaR/Stress systems or Fixed Income Valuation/Trading systems
