Singapore AKAMAI TECHNOLOGIES APJ PTE. LTD. Full time

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will influence a wide array of teams. You will be responsible for the performance and reliability of Akamai’s delivery products by working with the Product, Engineering and Support teams to diagnose, mitigate and solve outages. You will have to solve some of the most complex problems in distributed systems at scale and help us deliver the products our customers need to succeed.

**As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for**:

- Working with the Products, Engineering and Support teams to improve Akamai Delivery products.
- Contribute to solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems.
- Solve problems and make use of automation/feedback to minimize the recurrence.
- Work closely with product engineers to advocate reliable and scalable system design for Supportability/Resilience and reliability.
- Recommend viable solutions to processes, technologies and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce toil.
- Be available to drive support off hours during active incidents on-call. Develop tools/prototypes to assist Akamai Support engineers as well as to proactively monitor service performance and availability.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline or 5+ years of relevant experience
- Be passionate about cloud computing, hosting, network, streaming, storage and exposure to Web Services/Technologies & Cloud API
- Have experience with at least one of the following scripting languages: Python, Perl, Bash
- Be familiar with SQL and can comfortably understand/write complex queries for reporting and data analysis.
- Can analyze large datasets (logs, tables etc.) and derive meaningful insights to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Have a solid foundation in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Possess good knowledge of fundamental internet technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS and DNS
