**Full Job Description**

Westwood Global Energy is a leading provider of market intelligence, commercial analysis & strategic advice to the global energy industry. Our worldwide client base includes exploration & production companies, supply-chain contractors, financial institutions & governments. Our online research products help our clients monitor market activity and stay ahead of the curve by identifying commercial opportunities & trends. Our commercial advisory services support M&A and fundraising for the world’s largest PE funds and Investment banks as well as providing strategic input into business planning for multi-national conglomerates.

**Primary Responsibilities & Expectations**
- Conduct primary & secondary research into the global offshore marine industry. Ensure accuracy & relevance of Westwood’s datasets & analysis.
- Contributor to regular market reports on the global offshore energy & marine sector.
- Work with Westwood’s commercial advisory teams and external stakeholders around the world by providing expert market, commercial & strategic analysis to support consulting mandates including high-profile M&A & corporate strategy.
- Help develop thought leadership and brand awareness by building industry networks, publishing articles in industry journals and potentially speaking/attending international conferences.
- Work with internal stakeholders across Westwood’s Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams.

**About You** **(required)**
- Strong interest in the energy sector - in particular, market research and commercial analysis across the oil & gas and renewables sector.
- Robust quantitative & analytical skills - comfortable working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of MS suite - mainly Excel, Powerpoint & Word.
- Diligence & attention to detail - ensuring accuracy and taking ownership of outputs.
- Excellent communicator - both written & visual analysis of data as well as verbal presentation of outputs.

**About You (Good to Have)**
- Experience of the global offshore marine industry - this role would be well suited to individuals with a commercial/strategy background with an offshore vessel owner or brokerage.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, business, or other related discipline.
- Experience with data science & statistical programming packages - in particular R or similar.
- Background in report writing and publishing articles in recognised industry journals.

Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,500.00 per month
