**Roles & Responsibilities**

The Patient Service Assistant will manage processes related to patient's admission, transfer, discharge and any other assigned clerical duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as receptionist, greet, direct and attend to enquiries from patients, visitors and other departmental staff.
- Record and update appropriate data on patient’s admission, discharge and transfer and patient's subacute/rehabiltation status.
- Check and despatch consumables, pharmaceuticals, other laboratory and x-ray investigation charges daily
- Sort all incoming documents and distributes them to appropriate personnel in the ward
- Check and despatch duly summarised and completed case-notes and x-rays to Medical Record Office (MRO) within 72 hours of patient's discharge
- Follow up and arrange patient's appointments and ambulance transporation if needed
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Nurse Manager or Nurse Managers

**Requirements**:

- GCE ‘O’ level with minimum of 3 credits including English.
- At least one year of clerical/secretarial experience in medically related field is required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Willing to work on weekends including Public Holidays
- Working Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm

Alternate Saturday: 8.00am to 12.30am
