**Intern - Automation Engineer**

As an Intern - Automation Engineer, you will experience and contribute as a key team member to support the enablement of automation solutions that are pertinent to labor efficiency improvement programs in our fast-paced and innovative semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will learn and acquire useful knowledge and experiences that are applicable to the semiconductor, manufacturing, and automation industry.

The Automation Team operates multi-functionally and collaborates closely with respective Process, Equipment, Manufacturing and Lean teams to identify improvement opportunities. We propose and implement effective automation solutions through external benchmarking, meticulous solution selection process and close partnership deployment with automation vendors. In this role, we lead in all stages of automation solution from idea generation, design, deployment, verification to production release. In addition, through the acquired knowledge and expertise, valuable experiences on automation design rules, lessons learnt are to be shared across the network through Micron Central Team.

**Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Understand automation tool operation concept and propose improvement solutions including developing software reports on critical metric to better handle the tool efficiency.
- Chair regular project review team meetings with vendors, supervise continuous improvement activities and participate in problem resolution discussions.
- Support automation engineers and technicians on automation fault identification and resolution in the process of acquiring useful equipment functionality concepts and problem-solving skills.
- Coordinate with fellow team members across various departments to accomplish identified automation tools improvement tasks.
- Study automation tools key performance metrics, breakdown occurrences, spare part inventory and assess equipment spare sufficiency.
- Organize detail valuable lessons learnt that will be effective and relevant knowledge for future references.

**Deliverables**:

- Propose effective automation tools Operational Excellence improvement solutions.
- Present accomplishment and experience acquired to department leaders.
