Ittf Accountant

Table Tennis is an Olympic and Paralympic sport and is in the programme of the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as of all Multisport Games.

**LOCATION**:The position will be based in the ITTF Asia-Pacific offices in Singapore.

**MANAGER**: The ITTF Accountant will report into the head of the Finance team.

**DUTIES:
**Financial Reporting**
- Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports such as the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and respective balance sheet schedules
- Ensuring the month-end accounts are closed promptly Support with transitioning to International Financial Reporting Standards

**Budgeting & Forecasting**
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of budgets Prepare forecasting reports comparing budgets vs actuals

**Audit Support**
- Prepare financial statements for audit purpose Liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation

**Bookkeeping**
- Recording financial transactions
- Processing payments, and completing bank reconciliations
- Managing full set accounts
- Ensure oversight, and correct reconciliation of intercompany, and inter-related company transactions
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, and ensure depreciation and amortisation are correctly calculated Work closely with other departments to address queries related to events

**Risk & Compliance**
- Prepare and file tax returns, such as VAT (Switzerland), GST (Singapore)
- Liaise with tax agents for annual tax filings
- Support the implementation of Internal Control Systems Ensure effective risk management techniques are implemented, and offer proactive advice on possible financial issues

**Other**

To undertake all other tasks, as may reasonably be delegated, by the ITTF Management.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:
**Essential Criteria**

Minimum Degree in Accountancy;
- 2 (two) to 3 (three) years of relevant accounting / audit experience;
- Sound knowledge of accounting and reporting standards;
- Experience with Xero accounting software would be advantageous;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in MS Excel;
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills;
- Analytical, meticulous with a keen eye for numbers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and with different teams
