**About the Opportunity**

The opportunity is with a global provider of specialized insurance and reinsurance solutions, catering to intricate and diverse risks with a strategic presence in major markets spanning the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. They are looking for a nearly/newly qualified actuary to join the regional Property & Casualty team based in Singapore to support the growth in the region. The role will provide an opportunity to work across a diverse range of portfolios for different markets and lines of business. This role will have an initial focus on Property, Tech, and Marine.

**Responsibilities**
- A detailed portfolio review is needed to identify pricing/underwriting actions that should be taken to enhance profitability.
- Build/maintain pricing models which can include predictive modeling techniques such as GLM and Machine Learning.
- Account pricing for larger policies where there is sufficient claims experience to do so.
- Be part of the financial management of the portfolios through planning activities.
- Design and develop monitoring infrastructure to track key performance metrics for strategic portfolios.
- Present technical results to a wide range of internal stakeholders including frontline business owners and management.
- Enhance the quality of data and processing efficiency to meet expanding business needs as the P&C portfolios grow

**Requirements**:

- Around 5 years of experience in an actuarial role for general insurance with the majority of time spent on the pricing function.
- Newly qualified or part-qualified actuary with progression towards qualification.
- A motivated individual who can work well independently as well as in a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

This role will have close engagement with the stakeholders of various countries and products. The ability to interact with colleagues from different backgrounds and communicate in a direct and prompt manner will be critical to success in this role and further opportunities within the organization.
