Pdms Administrator

**Role**
- Responsible for setting up PDMS / E3D system for projects in line with company and project procedures within stipulated time while starting up the project, managing PDMS / E3D system of various projects and provide continuos technical support.
- Responsible for coordination with PDMS admin client and subcontractors of the project.
- Administration of PDMS / E3D Model, custominization to suit the project requirements and support multi-discipline end users of the model.
- Responsible for development and implementation of project specific catalogues and specifications for piping & pipe supports, structural, electrical and instrumentation disciplines in PDMS / E3D and setting up for project specific drawing templates in the drafting module of PDMS / E3D.
- Ensure integrity of 3D model database is well maintained and regularly transfer information from 3D model to other IT system and ensure are functioning properly as expected.
- Develop project specific modelling procedure based on client specifications and set up 3D model accordingly. Conduct regular trainings to multi-discipline end users (designers) of the 3D model.
- Work closely with discipline leads of the project to understand their requirements and address their demand on time. Develop macros (in PML) to automate tasks, improve the efficiency and avoid human errors.
- Troubleshoot any technical challenges and resolve issues on time and if required escalate to superusers of PDMS / E3D in other locations of quick resolution. Plan task maintenance of model and create back ups per company procedures.
- Responsible for clash management and clash reports. Clean up and prepare 3D model for all model reviews.
- Be familiar with work flows of all IT systems implement in the project. Be proactive & provide input to IT plan on time and highlight in advance of any technical challenges.
- Actively coordinate with other teams for the projects executed from multiple locations, attend meetings and communicate effectively. Be flexible and ready to assume additional roles like CAD coordinator in a project.
- Carry out 3D model in E3d / PDMS of piping systems and pipe supports, equipment, module layout, equipment layout and ensure clash free with all other disciplines.
- Ensure engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities, specifications, procedures, etc. produce within piping disciplines.
- Modelling support using MDS and clash check / report in E3D / PDMS. Participate in model reviews and implement actions and prepare close out.
- Ensure design deliverables are completed and issued per project specifications.
- Ensure master document register are within agreed schedules and budget.
- Coordinate with process, civil & structural, mechanical, electrical & instrumentation teams to understand the elevation, orientation, maintenance and structural requirements.
- Prepare and check detailed design drawings of piping systems and support in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.
- Review vendor drawing against model and provide comments.
- Prepare and check module layout, equipment layout, material take-offs, isometrics, pipe support drawings and bill of materials for piping insulations.
- Provide technical input during bidding and detailed engineering of projects.
- Prepare redline mark ups, as built drawings for isometric and pipe supports.

**Requirement**
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
- 8 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refineries, industrial power plants and thermal power plants
- Ability to study and understand project specifications
- Design systems to the required codes and specifications
- Specialized in any of the 3D software (PDMS / Cadworx / Autoplant)
- Knowledge of process and instrumentation diagrams
