**Market Research**
- Collect and analyze articles about insurance & reinsurance market trends, various insurance products and translate it into Korean version for the HO and Korean clients
- Make presentation material for client and internal training purpose
**Operations Management**
- Assisting in designing and operating outward treaty program : PF analysis, accumulation, claims reporting, renewal submission to the brokers
- Assisting in weekly reporting to the management on overall operation
- Assisting in producing regular reports of underwriting performance and overall operation (Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly)
- Training and coaching assistant underwriters in conducting their duties in a professional manner based on U/W guidelines in HO
- Liaising with HO: accounts and finance, claims, compliance, risk management, IT system, etc
- Assisting in overall operation of Labuan Branch including but not limited to license management, reporting, compliance to laws and regulations
- Responding to the management company and/or LFSA whenever they reasonably request for advice or instructions on any matter relating to the branch operation
- Maintaining liaison with other underwriters in HO to support in underwriting, claims and retrocession renewal
- Liaising and work closely with IT team in HO to resolve any system errors raised by underwriters, technical accountants and finance team in Singapore Branch
- Providing orientation and training of internal system to newly hired employees
- Any other projects and duties assigned by the Company management
**Underwriting & Claims**
- Assisting in reviewing and underwriting reinsurance treaty contracts including pricing, terms and conditions, catastrophe & aggregate exposure for all lines of business emanating from assigned markets
- Assisting in providing comprehensive client services to insurance companies in Asia, including conventional reinsurance solutions, financial analysis, capital modeling and developing new business model
- Assisting in business producing activities including charting business plan, travelling to meet client/solicit business, providing value-added service to clients in order to ensure growth and profitability
- Assisting in reviewing claims and taking necessary action for underwriting and business development purpose
- Assisting in producing and vetting large loss reports, reserve movements, ex-gratia considerations for Branch CEO’s and/or HO’s approval
**Requirements**:
- At least five years working experience in a reinsurance company
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluent in Korean (speaking and writing) - To liaise with HO for internal reporting and system support
- Proficient in MS office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously with a self-starting, pro-active approach
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
