Construct and assemble formwork for concrete foundations, walls, and slabs
- Measure and cut materials to desired specifications using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine project requirements
- Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and square, using levels, lasers, and other measuring tools
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in the formwork
- Remove formwork after concrete has cured
- Inspect and maintain formwork to ensure it is in good condition and safe for use
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics accurately
- Expertise in using measuring and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, and metal formwork materials
- Proficiency in constructing and installing wall, column, beam, and slab formwork according to project specifications
- Experience in dismantling and removing formwork after concrete has set and completing finishing work on cured concrete surfaces
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions
- Strong mathematical skills to calculate measurements, quantities, and angles required for formwork construction
