Trade Analyst

What to Expect
- Tesla is looking for a Trade Analyst to support the continued development of Tesla’s trade strategy in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The role will focus on facilitating the timely cross-border movement of goods, minimizing Tesla’s risk profile, developing new tools, and driving cost savings & efficiency programs.

What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day trade operations and resolve customs clearance issues
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customs brokers to ensure efficient and timely clearance of shipments
- Assess import and export requirements across APAC
- Identify trade compliance risks areas and savings opportunities
- Manage customs brokers’ performance
- Collect and analyze trade metrics data for management reporting
- Ensure the accurate payments of import duties and taxes
- Support the management of customs audits and verifications
- Support entry into new markets
- Support Trade leadership on any projects assigned

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of trade consulting/customs broker/in-house trade management experience preferred. Fresh graduates with outstanding credentials may be considered
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
- Experience working in a collaborative and cross-functional environment
- Knowledge on customs valuation, Free Trade Agreements, Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, export controls, etc.
- Ability to work independently and manage tight timeline
- Good To Have Skills: Microsoft Office Applications and Data Analytics
