Digital & Data Analyst

Job Summary- An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Business Transformation team in Singapore. Reporting to the Digital and Data Lead, you will help make the difference and contribute to the successful transformation of our business through the delivery of targeted digital and data initiatives, and improving our data maturity standard. You will be our change management champion for data initiatives, and develop partnership and operate as the business’ trusted advisor. You will innovate and conceptualize data driven solutions to transform the business’ operating landscape and improve the way of working. You will help foster and develop a data driven culture within the business unit, and deliver training program to help introduce our business users to our data model, and encourage them to develop their own PowerBI reports and dashboards. You will work closely with our strategic solution provider, and oversee the planning and delivery of data focused implementations, as well as remaining hands-on and owning specific data visualization and extraction deliveries. You will collaborate with like minded colleagues across APAC and within the business unit, and support each other to architect, design and deliver high quality digital and data solutions, if interested, to build our own data science capability.- Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities- Collaborate with the business unit’s data stakeholders to understand their data needs, recommend data solutions and translate them to technical requirements
- Supervise and manage the project delivery of our strategic solution provider, and provide input on design considerations / options across infrastructure, data sourcing, data transformation approach, visualization design, workflow design, system integration design, etc., as well as safeguard the robust, stable and quality running of our data solution and capabilities
- Coach, supervise and manage the digital and data deliverables by the business unit’s citizen developers
- Provide update on progress of vendor and citizen managed builds in a structured and timely manner, in particular to escalate issues and risks for their prompt resolution
- Represent the business unit as its Digital and Data Analyst to foster collaboration and sharing of lessons learnt with other business units, and regional / global data leads
- Help realise the business unit’s data science ambition.
- Experience and attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
- Good domain knowledge of the workings of P&C General Insurance’s products, systems and data
- More than 3 years experience in digital / data analyst role
- Technically proficient and knowledgeable in the use of data query and visualization tools such as MS SQL, Azure Synapse, Power BI, and working experience with relational database schemas
- Good understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), with experience in canvas app build preferred
- Interest and knowledge of UIPath preferred, but not mandatory
- Proven track record and practical experience with architecting, designing, and building / enhancing data models and solutions, and in the testing, reconciliation and providing design assurance to reporting / dashboard / analytics / workflow deliveries
- Meticulous, rigorous with detail, whilst having a clear appreciation of the big picture
- Team player, with effective communication and presentation skills.
