**Your role**

- As a Wireless engineer you will play a key role in the overall design, engineering and delivery of Wireless network solutions across UBS.
- Day to day responsibilities will include:
- design, plan, establish, and optimize wireless networks. Engineer wireless network infrastructures and make recommendations on systems enhancements for optimization
- provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception to launch
- train and mentor other engineers
- design and validate RF link performance, quality, and reliability
- use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust equipment (preferable Ekahau AI Pro)
- create manuals and support documentation (Visio, internal NetWiki Tech Notes)
- optimize existing network by adjusting radio network parameters and recommending possible solutions to hardware problems
- monitor, analyze and report metrics of wireless solution and drive test data to improve system performance such as dropped calls, blocked calls, origination failures, handoff features (Microsoft Teams)
- maintaining stable operational Wi-Fi environment including reporting and following through on replacement of any failed APs

You will also be working on a number of key strategic long-term project deliverables covering the following areas:
- strategic UBS Wireless Vendor/Product evaluation/engineering
- integration of SaaS based Wi-Fi Network management (controller less)
- design & Engineer Wireless EAP-TLS (certificate based) authentication / authorization onboarding processes for corporate clients
- design & Engineer Wireless MPSK based onboarding processes for guest Wi-Fi access
- automation/Integration enhancements

In addition, you will be responsible for delivering improvements to existing solutions, enhancing overall system stability, reducing operational risk and delivering automated solutions where applicable.

**Your team**
- You’ll be working in the global Network Wireless Agile POD (Engineering) team. We are a relatively small team with big ambitions working in a fast-paced network engineering environment.
- As the Network Wireless Agile POD, we're responsible for the success of Wi-Fi network which deliver operational service assurance, stability, and reduction of operational risk. The role is predominately office based as the team are all located in one of the major engineering locations (Switzerland, London, New-York, Pune, Hyderabad, Hong-Kong, or Singapore).

**Your expertise**
- 5+ years' experience as a systems architect/engineer with a proven track record in engineering Wireless solutions
- working knowledge of CLOUD based service offerings from MS Azure, Amazon AWS and automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
- good understanding of QoS in a wireless & wired environment, certificate-based authentication and wireless roaming
- experience in the delivery of AAA solutions (Aruba ClearPass, Azure AD, SAML)
- knowledge of Scripting languages (Perl /Python), client app behavior (e.g.MS-Teams) and ARUBA Wireless products (AOS8, ClearPass, Airwave) would be advantageous
- minimum networking knowledge at JNCIA, CCNA/CCNP level or above
- knowledge of incident/problem/change management platforms i.e ServiceNow & WireShark with ability to create fully documented 'runbook'
- familiar with IEEE 802.11 standards, 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP-TLS, MPSK, TCP/IP, QoS, DHCP, DNS, SNMP
