**B) Design Engineer
Overview

The design engineer is involved in the initial concept, design, development and management of projects in all our various products. The design engineer must have a strong technical knowledge, as well as problem solving, communication, leadership and project management skills. The design engineer works very closely with the sales team to win tenders and secure contracts. The design engineer attends to site meetings and leads the technical discussions with the customers. After a contract is secured, the design engineer works very closely with the production team to ensure the contract deliverables and technical specifications are met in the contract.

**Responsibilities**:
1) liaise with clients to identify their requirements

2) conducts site visits and leads technical discussions with the clients

3) investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing products

4) prepares engineering calculations and write technical reports

5) prepares the engineering documentation required in the tender submission

6) use CAD systems to design and provide simple and clear GA Drawings for clients to understand our products

7) undertake model making, prototyping and product testing projects

8) identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs

9) plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.
