Manager, Treasury

**Job Purpose**
- Reporting to the Manager, Treasury, you will be part of the group’s treasury team responsible for a broad range of treasury functions, which include cash management, foreign exchange, interest rates, short term investments, and funding as well as insurance management for the SMRT group.

**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for the following:

- Develop cash flow forecasts to track funding requirements, ensuring consistent liquidity to support operational and capital expenditure needs.
- Ensure efficient utilization of surplus cash through efficient short-term investments, optimizing returns.
- Negotiate credit facilities with banks and financial institutions covering agreement review and loan documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Legal and Corporate Secretary to oversee financing-related documentation and reviews.
- Assist in fund raising activities including bank loans and issuance of bonds in the debt capital market.
- Monitor markets for foreign exchange, interest rates and oil markets to effectively manage the hedging requirements for the group.
- Prepare treasury and management reporting to provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Provide treasury support whenever required for the Group’s business activities.
- Assist in managing the group’s insurance policies, covering assets & liability, professional indemnity and directors & officers insurances.
- Assist in ad-hoc treasury related projects to facilitate process improvements and Kaizen initiatives.
- Any other matters as may be required from time to time.

**Qualifications & Work Experience**
- You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Business / Accountancy with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within banks or listed companies in Singapore;
- High level of financial literacy, numeric and analytical capability with good knowledge of financial statements and markets;
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
- Experience in SAP, Treasury Management Systems (system admin, system design knowledge and configuration) and Bloomberg is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external parties stakeholders, including operations, finance, and legal/secretariat departments.
- Proactive, confident, and self-motivated demeanor, coupled with a people-oriented approach and a natural inclination towards initiating and driving change.
- High sense of ownership and positive attitude in problem-solving and willing to roll-up your sleeves to perform administrative tasks to resolve issues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting stringent deadlines with precision and poise.
