General Attorney Manager

This is a role where the lawyer serves as Deputy General Counsel of the Teradyne enterprise and as Regional Counsel of Teradyne Asia. This position reports directly to the General Counsel/Chief Legal Officer of the company.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Responsible for the contracts, employment and litigation functions for Teradyne Asia
- Provide leadership, including strategic and tactical advice, to the management team of Teradyne Asia
- Manage senior and junior lawyers and professionals in the Teradyne Asia Legal and Compliance Department
- Partner with other senior attorneys and professionals in the legal and compliance department on developing best practices and policies for the delivery of legal services and managing legal and regulatory risks.
- Analyze legal and compliance risks, opportunities, and options, and implement changes as appropriate related to the region’s goals
- Retain and manage outside counsel handling legal and compliance matters for the Asia Region
- Manage the internal and external legal and compliance spending for the Asia Region
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements through the use of technology and tools
- Partner with HR and leaders of other functions to develop and implement effective training programs, controls, testing practices and monitoring systems and to support compliant business operations
- Know and monitor relevant laws and regulations relevant to the Asia Region
**Education & Experience**:
- JD or equivalent law degree
- 10-15 years’ experience as a practicing corporate, commercial or business attorney, with demonstrated ability to manage complex engagements in a team environment
