United Women Singapore (UWS) is a local non-profit organisation with IPC status that advances women’s empowerment and gender equality and builds a pipeline of women leaders and influencers in Singapore. The organisation has been operating for over 26 years and works towards narrowing the gender equality gap through education and raising awareness and advocacy on issues such as women’s empowerment and anti-violence, with the support of key stakeholders including corporate partners, government agencies, academia, the diplomatic community, other non-profit and community groups and the wider community.
**Job Purpose**
The Manager / Senior Manager, Finance and Administration plays a critical role in overseeing financial activities, human resource and administration functions within the organisation. This position requires strong financial acumen, and strategic thinking to drive efficiency, and ensure financial stability. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with executive management, and other departments to drive financial stability and operational excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Financial Management**
- Work closely with the management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring to ensure financial stability.
- Manage financial reporting, including the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow, investment activities, and financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliancewith regulatory requirements and best practices.
**Audit, Compliance and Risk Management**
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and timely submission of audit reports.
- Work with auditors to address any identified issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial and operationalrisks.
- Monitor and report on risk exposure to senior management and the Board.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry standards that mayimpact the organisation.

**Board Liaison**
- Coordinate the process of preparation for Board Meetings and General Meetings, including preparing board meeting presentations and meeting minutes, scheduling meetings,
- Ensure Board members have the information they need to make informed decisions, including financial, operational and programmes related information.
**Office administration**
- Develop and maintain effective office systems (e.g. IT support, office maintenance, fixed assets, and supplier contacts), ensuring these are consistent with the organisation’s operating requirements.
- Ensure all procurement processes are in compliance with the relevant and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate Membership Administration process and work with the relevant team for membership engagement and satisfaction.
- Maintain clear channels of communication internally with the employees and externally with the stakeholders.
- Support the efficient running of the office daily operations including external inquiries and queries.
- Other administration duties as assigned.
**Human Resources**
- Maintain personnel records including employee contracts, leave records and other details.
- Ensure staff handbook is reviewed and updated as required to comply with the applicable regulations.
**Requirements**:
**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
**Experience**
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in finance and related areas. Experience in operations, risk management, and compliance.
- **Skills**:
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
