**Responsibilities**:

- Manage site activities and sub-contractors to ensure compliance to quality standards and governing codes
- Lead a team of Engineers, Quantity Surveyors on site activities
- Ensure project is completed on time, within budget, contractual & safety standards
- Good analytical skills and resourceful
- Team player and able to work with all levels of staff
- Ability to work independently and to meet project deadlines
- Good knowledge in project management methodology and cost control
- Well-versed and knowledgeable of construction contract terminology.
- Reliable with costing, procurement and tendering.
- Team support to the Project manager in Contract management Cost Control.
- Manage contractual matters relating to cost and delays with the client and the subcontractors.
- Review contracts and negotiate commercial term & conditions.
- Negotiate with consultants and resolve contract issue.
- Assist in tendering and preparation of projects.
- Support in contract administration and cost control.
- Negotiation with new suppliers / sub-contractors and dispute management.
- Project management involving the supervision of subcontractors, regular site inspections, liaising with clients and consultants to ensure timely completion of the projects.
- Preparation of progress reports, progress charts and interim progress claims.
- Evaluate claims and recommend payment for subcontractors.

**Requirements**:

- Academic Qualification: Degree in Engineering
- Experience Required:

- Minimum 20 years experience in Civil Engineering and Tunneling
- Minimum 10 years tunnelling work experience in Singapore
- 10 years relevant working experience in contract management position
- Knowledge & Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office and Fundamental
- Understanding of Computer Networks.
- Independent with good communication skill.
- Required to sit in meetings with Japan HQ (Japanese communication is a must).
