**Key Responsibilities**:
Scaffolding Supervisors are responsible for coordinating all activities related to scaffolding within a project. They monitor the work of scaffolding teams and ensure that all practices adhere to safety regulations. Responsibilities include:

- Planning and allocating work to the scaffolding crew.
- Inspecting scaffolding materials before and after erection.
- Ensuring the stability and safety of scaffolding structures.
- Conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans.
- Maintaining records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance work.
- Training new staff on safety protocols and proper scaffolding techniques.
- Liaising with other project supervisors and management to ensure that scaffolding plans align with project timelines and objectives.

**Key Tasks and Duties**:
The daily duties of a Scaffolding Supervisor are detailed and require a high level of attention to safety and efficiency. Typical tasks include:

- Supervising the erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
- Auditing and inspecting existing structures to confirm compliance with safety standards and structural integrity.
- Problem-solving on-site issues related to scaffolding.
- Ordering and managing scaffolding materials and inventory.
- Communicating effectively with construction managers and other contractors concerning project details and timelines.

**Education and Certification Requirements**:

- A high school diploma or equivalent; further education in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as the CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager Training, OSHA Construction Safety, or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in scaffolding within the construction industry, including a proven track record of supervisory roles or team management.
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and local regulatory requirements.
