We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our organization as a Database Team Lead. As the team lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and administration of our database environment, with a focus on Oracle and MSSQL platforms. This role requires expertise in both Oracle and MSSQL databases, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Database Management:

- Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of the organization's database environment.
- Ensure the availability, security, and performance of all Oracle and MSSQL databases.
- Coordinate with the team to handle database installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching.
- Develop and enforce best practices for database administration, including backup and recovery strategies.
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and address issues to optimize system performance.

2. Team Leadership:

- Lead a team of database administrators and provide guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify training needs and provide training opportunities to enhance team members' skills.

5. MSSQL Administration:

- Provide expert-level administration and support for MSSQL databases, which constitute the majority of our server infrastructure.
- Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Monitor and optimize MSSQL database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure the security and integrity of MSSQL databases by implementing appropriate access controls and security measures.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle and MSSQL.
- Strong expertise in Oracle database administration, including experience with Oracle RDBMS versions.
- In-depth knowledge of MSSQL database administration, including experience with Windows Server environments.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with data migration and consolidation processes.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: From $7,000.00 per month
