About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Technical Officer to join our team at Surbana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position. As the Resident Technical Officer, you will play a vital role in overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

**Job Description**:

- Assist the Resident Engineer on site in supervision and inspection of construction works on site, to ensure that all works comply fully with statutory requirements and client's requirements.
- Work closely with C&S QP, Resident Engineer and other Resident Technical Officers and contractors to resolve site issues, and ensure timely completion of the project.
- Implement and sustain the site supervision quality & safety assurance system.
- Carry out supervision of structural & geotechnical works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site.
- Monitor project progress schedule and quality standards.
- Maintain and update site records on project progress.
- Ensure proper maintenance and updating of site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, as built submissions etc.
- Be familiar with and check all drawings (including authority submission drawings and shop drawings).
- Carry out regular site checks on contractor & ensure compliance with health and work safety in accordance with MOM regulation.
- Inspect and monitor quality of architectural finishing material delivered to site.

Requirements:

- Possess recognized qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for RTO registration with IES
- Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Technical Officer Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum 8 years of C&S RTO work experience in supervision of multi-storey building, with strong knowledge of deep excavation, bored piling, precast building construction, structural steel, and architectural works.
- Experience in commercial or mix-development projects will be an added advantage.
- Must be familiar with local Regulations / codes for Civil & Structural related building projects.
- Able to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- A good team player and experience in assisting Resident Engineer in supervision.
- Knowledge in BIM and VDC capabilities will have an added advantage.
- Able to start work on Feb 2025
