**Role - Senior Engineer - Cloud Infra Operations**

**Duration - Full time permanent**

**Job description**

The Senior Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Automation is responsible transforming our Private Cloud Infrastructure through automation of Day 0 through Day 2 Infrastructure services for the delivery and operations of Virtualization, Compute and Storage services. This automation effort will encompass service creation through operations, including onboarding to ITIL platforms, service monitoring and reporting, and security compliance.

Develop Terraform scripts to automate virtual machine creation on VMware and Azure Stack HCI virtualization platforms
- Develop Terraform test automation scripts
- Working closely with the Infrastructure Project Team (IPO) on project engagements TI strategy
- Produce design documentation
- Ensure solution proposed in compliance with security and best practices adopted by the industry
- Providing advice and guidance to management during planning phases to ensure that non-functional requirements are included in the overall specifications
- Support the operationalization of infrastructure automation to the operations team. Act as the automation service owner for infrastructure automation, including support for any production issues due to automation.

**Education and Qualifications**

Degree in computer science/ Information Technology, Industry certification, eg. Azure, VMware (VCP/VCAP) or Microsoft qualifications.

**Work Experience**
- 8-10 years of experience working and familiar with corporate infra design, security hygiene and best practices, compute/storage infrastructure design and experience in putting together infrastructure design covering the aspects above. Able to articulate well on proposed design to stakeholder.
- 3 years of Infrastructure automation experience, with mandatory experience in Terraform and Puppet.

**Technical / Professional Skills**
- Experience in infrastructure-as-code (IAC) scripting on automation platforms (eg. Puppet, Terraform, or similar)
- Experience in public cloud (Azure) deployment and scripting.
- Experience in Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), OS (RHEL, Windows), Compute/Storage (Dell EMC, IBM, UCS) and Hyper Converge (HCI) deployment.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN and Data Centre network architectures, enterprise design and industry standards relevant to data communications / networking and computing.
- Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) on Cisco ACI will be advantageous.
- Ability to direct project design and planning activities associated with complex or large sized network infrastructure development projects.
- Experience in dealing with vendors on technology and services.
- Experience with ITIL processes, especially change control processes
- Experience with Day 2 infrastructure operations

Pay: $8,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
