Senior Application Engineer

Join the SPM platform and help Chevron modernize & expand our websites customer experience. This role is on the Web Technologies & B2C eCommerce team, a high-profile team that supports all consumer websites worldwide under Chevron, Texaco & Caltex brands.

**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to**:
- Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of relevant WCM platforms such as Adobe AEM (Sites and Assets).
- Oversees and serves as functional SME for integration points, workflows, content authoring, run management, platform governance as well as documentation deliverables
- Coordinate overall effort to translate business requests to functional requirements and high-level design. Create and review requirement, scope, and draft functional design documents. initial risk and mitigation recommendations. Lead review sessions with user groups and cross functional technical teams. Align functional design with technical requirements.
- Identify opportunities and show forward thinking approach in defining AEM components, templates, use cases, and opportunities for efficiencies as well as optimize processes and methodologies
- Supports across SDLC in production and review of functional design, site demos, and hands-on training
- Lead testing efforts in conjunction with the Project or QA Manager, including the design and execution of test scripts and scenarios
- Serve as the bridge between PO, QA, development and business teams
- Support and mentor team on handling of escalated issues, including triage of complex
- Prepare materials (content authoring guides, etc.) and conduct training sessions for target audiences.- Support the development of strong relationships by building trust, rapport and strong working relationships with key sponsors, stakeholders, and team members

**Job Requirements**
- 5+ years’ experience as a business/functional analyst- 3+ years of experience in Adobe Experience Manager and related Adobe products
- Hands on experience in AEM Pages, Components, Tags, Experience Fragments, Workflows, OSGi services, Sling Servlets, Event Listeners etc.,
- Hands on experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
- Experience working with agile methodology, especially Azure Dev Ops (ADO), with ability to develop Stories, etc.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working with relevant Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions such as Adobe AEM, Target, Analytics or other web related products.
- Experience in working with both backend (AEM) and front-end UI development teams in parallel as well as with agencies and design teams
- General understanding of the overall Application Architecture, including: Author, Publisher, Dispatcher, Load Balancing, CDN and other security layers.
