**Job Summary**:
As a member of the Engineering department, Lead Engineers have expertise in one or more critical process areas and will have experience performing DOE, process modeling, system design and DFM. Strong report writing and communication skills are also required. Lead Engineering will also be responsible to research and identify new and existing technologies that can impact current and future business activities. The primary purpose of the Lead engineering is to support operations and insure an increasing value proposition for our customers.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Representing design engineering in company strategy and process development
- Track all team projects and resource allocation through Clarizen
- Coach and mentor team members
- Responsible to enforce training, time reporting, and department policy
- Research, analysis and report writing
- Support and drive technology intensive projects
- Interface with customers, management, technology suppliers and partners
- Generate project proposals, design of experiments, and reports
- Project multitasking
- Capable of developing concepts quickly and able to drive to realization
- Hands-on skills to design and build test set-ups and technology demonstration platforms
- Generate publications regarding technology improvement and innovation

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

Required
- Relative technology expertise in gas, plasma and vapor manipulation (Coatings, Deposition, Etch)
- CAD, FEA and CFD software tool use (SolidWorks Simulation preferred).
- MS Office.
- Equipment and process design and development
- Familiarity with SEMI standards.
- Presentation preparation and delivery skills with diverse audiences.
- Ability to work well with others and on a team

Preferred
- Materials Science and Metallurgy: Coatings, Welding and Machining
- Experience in materials compatibility with semiconductor manufacture source and exhaust chemistries analysis.
- Experience in interpreting corrosion issues and analysis.
- Knowledge of specialty stainless steel alloys used in the semiconductor industry
- Project management experience
- Data analytics, data mining, statistics, actuarial sciences, modeling
- Industrial automation and robotics
- Failure analysis
- Lab View and programming

**Educational/Certification Requirement**:

- BS in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering with 10+ years of experience
- MS or PhD preferred with 7+ years of experience
