**SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES, INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST**

The post reports directly to the Secretary General and is based at the INTERPOL Global Center for Innovation (IGCI) in Singapore.

This senior leadership position is responsible for advancing INTERPOL’s global role as a hub of law enforcement innovation and training. The incumbent provides strategic direction on the identification and adoption of transformative technologies—such as AI, digital forensics, and data analytics—guiding INTERPOL’s innovation agenda and fostering strong partnerships, particularly through the Global Complex for Innovation in Singapore. They lead awareness campaigns, oversee pilot projects, and develop frameworks to support ethical and effective tech integration across member countries.

In parallel, the role oversees the global capacity building and training strategy, including the development of best practices, standardized curricula, and remote learning tools. The incumbent directs the INTERPOL Global Academy Network and supports donor engagement to expand impact. Additionally, they manage organizational planning, resources, and representation, serving as INTERPOL’s senior official in Singapore and ensuring high-level engagement with national authorities when required.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES**

**OBJECTIVE 1/Mission 1: Drive INTERPOL’s posture as vehicle of innovation**:

- Provide strategic direction and high-level oversight in identifying and assessing emerging technologies and innovations with the potential to transform global law enforcement practices globally;
- Lead the development of a future-focused innovation agenda for INTERPOL and its member countries, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and the evolving threat landscape;
- Lead and direct the activities in the creation and management of a dedicated hub for INTERPOL-industry cooperation focused on emerging technologies, serving as a strategic platform to engage private sector partners in the co-development, testing, and responsible adoption of innovative law enforcement and security solutions, in full compliance with INTERPOL’s legal framework and ethical standards;
- Provide leadership in defining INTERPOL’s positioning and messaging as a thought leader and advocate for the responsible adoption of advanced technologies—such as artificial intelligence, digital forensics, data analytics, blockchain, and secure communications—by law enforcement across the membership;
- Initiate and manage global awareness campaigns, strategic dialogues, and capacity-building efforts to support the uptake of innovation and digitally-enabled workflows within member countries;
- Foster strong partnerships with research institutions, industry, and law enforcement innovation hubs, particularly but not limited to the very rich landscape offered by Singapore, to ensure early access to cutting-edge tools and knowledge;
- Lead the development of strategic guidance and frameworks to support member countries in technology acquisition, integration, and lifecycle management, including capacity assessments and investment prioritization;
- Represent INTERPOL as a global voice on law enforcement innovation in high-level international fora, fostering global consensus and collaborative action on technology-driven policing.

**OBJECTIVE 2/Mission 2: provide leadership in developing and implementing INTERPOL Capacity Building & Training Strategy**
- Provide visionary leadership in shaping the global capacity building strategy for law enforcement, ensuring it aligns with INTERPOL’s strategic goals and addresses the evolving security needs of member countries;
- Spearhead identification and codification of global best pra
