JR66796 Automation Equipment Technician

Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
- Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
- Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
- Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers
- Perform Preventive Maintenance and necessary equipment calibrations
- Be responsible for meeting shift critical metric (Key Performance Indicators) ensuring equipment operating in specified performance levels
- Prepare shift reports and conduct shift passdowns
- Lead CIP (Continuous Improvement Projects) with fellow team members
- Analyze equipment data to make recommendations for advanced troubleshooting
- Perform housekeeping for a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate and collaborate with fellow operation partners to expeditiously resolve production line issues

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics or automation-related fields
- Certificates from technical or vocational education with relevant course of study preferably relevant to automation-related fields
- Preferably with 2 years of working experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment
- Self-starter, inquisitive and hands-on attitude with safety mentality
