**Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Officer located in Singapore. The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for identifying internal customers' needs, forecasting demand, researching and communicating with vendors, negotiating contracts, placing orders, monitoring shipments and deliveries and maintaining stock levels.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify, evaluate, and cultivate relationships with qualified vendors to ensure a reliable source of materials, equipment, and services that meet company needs.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions within established guidelines to secure cost-effective and advantageous agreements that align with the company's procurement strategy.
- Monitor vendor performance metrics to guarantee timely delivery and adherence to quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Proactively expand the vendor network by identifying and qualifying new vendors.
- Address vendor-related issues promptly and professionally, working towards mutually agreeable solutions to maintain positive working relationships.
- Procure materials, spare parts, equipment, and services while adhering to customer schedules and production requirements. Collaborate with the store to maintain optimal inventory levels and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality standards.

**Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills to effectively collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams
- Experience in Purchasing Operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
- Excellent Analytical Skills to identify areas for improvement and optimization of processes
- Min. Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred
- **Ability to speak Mandarin / read & write in Chinese is essential **due to daily interaction with Chinese vendors
