**About Corporate Banking**
Corporate Banking is responsible for the origination of Corporate Banking Products and the relationship management of large multinational and financial institutions clients globally. The group works closely with its colleagues in the Investment Bank to ensure we are leveraging the breadth of the CIB product set against these client relationships. The team covers clients across the full International Corporate Banking client segments, with origination activities focused across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
**Overall purpose of role**
- Supports assigned Relationship Directors (RDs) in all areas of management and development of the FIG portfolio.

- Supports the Trade Origination team to manage portfolios with Trade requirements.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Support assigned Relationship Directors (RDs) with relationship management, business development, product knowledge, sales research, client acquisition and client onboarding
- Support RDs in all areas of management & development of the portfolio in order to generate sustainable income and manage risk
- Support RDs to identify the needs of clients/prospects and work with business partners to provide and execute solutions (cross selling) as necessary
- Support RDs with completion of materials required for internal supervisory and governance
- Ensure compliance with all policies and standards as identified in the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF)
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Identify opportunities to improve our products, processes, and service to clients
- Perform required controls to help manage/ minimise risk within the business
- Support RDs to fulfil client On-Boarding, business and credit approvals and client planning in partnership with business partners
- Manage and grow the portfolio of clients with Trade requirements
- Grow Trade revenues for the franchise (i.e. onshore and outbound into our key corridors)
- Working closely with Clients and Coverage to identify and optimise on Trade opportunities ensuring they are fit for purpose
- Participate in account planning and strategy for portfolio of clients
**Risk and Control Objective**
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

**Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications**:
- Diploma from a recognised polytechnic
