Scrum Master

The Scrum Master/Agile Project Manager plans projects and takes ownership of the successful implementation and achievement of project objectives. Key responsibilities are:

- Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices and develop team in self-organization
- Help the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
- Remove impediments and mentor the scrum team on removing impediments
- Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
- Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
- Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
- Support the product owner and provide education on Agile methodology and scrum practices where needed
- Defines project resources, manages project progress, and facilitates interaction and tasks of various parties to reduce the risk of overall failure in an Agile team setting
- Develops and identifies advances/opportunities in project management to improve timely delivery of projects and efficient use of resources in an Agile team setting
- Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time

Key tasks include:

- Develop project plans
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and develop project plan
- Review project plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects
- Estimate budgetary needs based on the project scope and anticipate future budget challenges
- Assess consolidated project plans for dependencies, gaps and continued business value
- Oversee program implementation
- Plan and manage project compliance requirements and adherence to governance structures
- Evaluate and address external business environment changes for impact on project scope
- Plan and manage project closure and/or transitions
- Conduct project reviews to recommend changes to project schedules, cost or resource requirements
- Document and track project scope, changes, issues and risks that affect implementation
- Facilitate the daily stand-up to achieve team consensus
- Eliminate conflicts and assist in developing solutions to manage roadblocks
- Assist product owner on refining and managing the product backlog
- Manage people and organization
- Manage project budget, work allocations, manpower and resourcing needs for the team
- Develop team members through ongoing coaching, mentoring and career discussions
- Drive performance management practices within the team in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
- Develop initiatives to support the continuing competence and professional development of the team
- Facilitate discussions, problem solving and conflict resolution

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical, business, or related discipline. with at least 3 years of relevant working experience as Scrum Master and/or project manager
- Completed Scrum Master training with certification with prior experience in a scrum team
- Knowledgeable of Agile practices and methodology, project management methodologies and tools, as well as Scrum process framework and familiar with Scrum team environment
- Effective team player who manages project timelines, stakeholders, deliverables and resources in a structured manner
- Strong ability on problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the Scrum
- Strong ability to determine what is Scrum and what is not
- Experienced with successful Agile techniques
- Strong leadership ability with some experience leading a team
- Strong communications, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Self-motivated and ability to stay focused
- Domain knowledge on plant operation, asset maintenance, procurement, and/or finance will be an added advantage
