**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in analytics, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Experienced working with SQL.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Understanding of advertisers marketing objectives.
- Familiarity with the Display/Video Ads Businesses, particularly on YouTube.
- Ability to take initiative, manage ambiguity, and self-direct work in an unstructured environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft and deliver a message with credibility to influence executive leadership.
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
As a Business Finance Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for generating insights to the mid-funnel ads business that will help enable both proactive actions that will elevate business generation, as well as reactive analyses that will aid performance improvement.
The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop technical aptitude to supercharge the investigative capabilities of the team.
- Conduct extensive analyses using sophisticated techniques and tools (e.g., R, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
- Forecast business performance quarters and years into the future to provide foresight into areas ready for further investment.
- Create/maintain a regular reporting cadence to surface insights into the ups and downs of our mid-funnel ads businesses.
- Own and manage the related business performance problem solving agenda.
