We empower communities and businesses to move to a cleaner energy future by offering renewable energy solutions to remote and island-based customers, including design, EPC and financing of complete microgrids. We enable off-grid energy users to save diesel fuel costs by optimizing the existing energy generation system, integrating renewable energy generation and energy storage with existing diesel generation to reduce energy OpEx, carbon emissions and diesel dependence.

You will help Canopy Power with system engineering, design, and project execution of microgrid projects on site. Today we are active in Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines, Maldives and South Pacific.

This job requires a good understanding of electrical engineering principles. Experience in project management and supply chain knowledge is an added advantage.

Essential Requirements:

- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experiences (fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply)
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting
- Self-starter with a strong problem-solving ability
- Well versed with AutoCAD or similar software
- Ability to travel (SE Asia); up to 50% average travel requirement

Desirable Requirements:

- Experience with solar PV for off grid and on grid systems
- Experience with electrical system and design
- Experience with project management (preferably construction related project management)
- Experience with software such as HelioScope, PVSyst & Homer Energy etc
- Experience with supply chain management, sourcing and procurement
- Industrial experience through internships, project work etc

Scope of work:

- Engage with new and existing customers and manage customer relationships
- Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various functions in the company to ensure swift execution of projects at the client site
- Assist with design and engineering, installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of systems and equipment at site
- Assist with coordinating and directing projects, making detailed designs and plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
- To assist with preparation of drawings and project submissions for bids
- Work with the customers to prepare project specifications
