We are hiring for a **Senior Software Engineer **who is experienced in backend engineering. You will collaborate with the different teams to architect, design and implement our API services. As a **Senior Software Engineer **, you will be part of a team of engineers enabling rapid iteration of resilient software products here at Handshakes.

For a **Senior Software Engineer **, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Participating in the full software development cycle and collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to ensure quality
- Designing and building reliable distributed systems that handle high volumes of data with low latency
- Pushing for testable, serverless and event driven architectures

As an experienced **Senior Software Engineer **, you would have:

- More than 6 years of relevant and hands-on experience as a backend engineer building scalable and event-driven systems
- Proficiency with a high-level development language, either C#, Java, dotNet (.Net), Python, NodeJS with Typescript or JavaScript
- Demonstrable hands on experience in automated testing and high release frequency
- Experience in developing and maintaining cloud-based or hybrid-based, data processing solutions a plus
