**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Job Description**:

- Develop, maintain and supervise a team of technicians qualified to perform all work necessary to help maintain power plant facilities in a safe and efficient operating condition;
- Coordinate with other sections in developing, performing and planning of preventive maintenance and turn-around activities;
- Provide general maintenance and turn-around budget input. Prepare material list and purchase request for general maintenance activities. Coordinate with E&I Supervisor and Mechanical Supervisor in developing, performing and planning Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Turn-around (TA) activities. Make TA schedule of activities and perform supervision during the TA;
- Responsible for optimum deployment of plant resources including personnel and equipment to minimize outside services;
- Coordinate equipment installation activities with Operations Section and Mechanical Maintenance Section;
- Diagnose/evaluate and troubleshoot causes of instrument, DCS, PLC, Electrical malfunction or failure of an equipment/instruments and system disturbance in the power plants as well as in the Substation System;
- To lead the team to carry out erection, commissioning and calibration of Electrical Equipment/Instrument and control equipment/system such as: transformer, MV/LV Switchgear, UPS, Pressure Level Transmitter, DCIS/HMI, etc
- Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents
- Responsible for Electrical & Instrument system interfaces with the operational plant, meeting, and technical clarifications
- Manage a team of supervisor, sub-contractors and vendors
- Lead in the investigation/troubleshoot of instrument fault or failure and provide effective and variable corrective and preventive action.
- Analyse and improve equipment reliability of plant to prevent recurrence with operation group and external contractors.
- Prepare documentation pertaining to procedures, qualities and safety of maintenance work with appropriate Risk Assessment and comply with BCA requirements.
- Work cross functionally to ensure systems, equipment and rooms meet internal customers need.
- Review all relevant checklist for inspection and testing plan on electrical & instrument system installation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Job Requirements:

- Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ technical experience in Construction project management for E&I projects
- Good planning and computer programming skills;
- Good communication and reporting skills both verbal and in writing
- Multi-cultural knowledge and working experience.
- Experience for Installation and Commissioning of Power Plant, Oil and Gas Refinery, and other Industrial Plant (District Cooling, Cement Plant, Steel Plant, etc.) is an advantage
- Knowledgeable in construction policies and procedures
- Self-Starter with good initiative to work independently
- Experience in instrumentation with transmitters and control valves knowledge preferably.
- Able to read, understand P&ID, SLD, Logic and Control Circuits
- Open mind, exposure working with international environment with different nationalities
- Willing to work at Jurong Island
- Willing to work at on weekdays, Sundays and PH
