**Responsibilities**

The Investment Research and Management Associate will support the investment team in conducting research on investment opportunities in China/ Hong Kong. This position reports to the senior investment analysts.
- Conduct research and analysis on diverse sectors in China/ Hong Kong
- Ongoing Portfolio Monitoring - work closely with senior investment professionals in conducting research and investment due diligence on portfolio companies
- New Idea Generation - work closely with senior investment professionals to generate new investment ideas and themes via proprietary/ third-party research
- Prepare presentations and memos to the investment committee on existing and new ideas
- Build and update financial models and databases to support investment decision-making process
- Attend relevant portfolio company meetings to collect data, get updates and perform required analyses to aid portfolio decisions
- Stay updated on industry trends, competition landscape and regulatory changes for the covered sectors and companies
- Research and writing support for other teams, conduct ad-hoc research projects, contribute to internal research discussions

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Sciences and Engineering preferred (but not necessary)
- Strong Mandarin skills due to language requirements of the job
- Prior work/ internship experience in China, with a good understanding of the culture and business in the greater China region, would be an advantage
- Interest in equity investments and passion for equity markets highly preferred
- Proficient with excel/ able to build accurate financial models representing the underlying financial status of the company
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, task
- and detail-oriented, independent, ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Demonstrate academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, logical thinker with good clarity of thought
- Open to travelling for work
- Must be a Singaporean Citizen
