**Roles & Responsibilities**

Clinic Assistant DSA
- Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist dentist during dental procedure
- Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist
- Expose dental diagnostic x-rays
- Performing laboratory work, i.e. Pour, trim and polish study casts, bleaching trays, nightguard, retainers and dentures etc
- Cleaning and polishing removable appliances
- Monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory
- Support clinic administration

CLINIC RECEPTIONIST
- Welcoming and greeting all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
- Answering phone calls while maintaining proper phone etiquette
- Registering new patients and update existing patients details and information
- Assisting patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including but not limited to medical insurance
- Handling administrative work, including, but not limited to scheduling appointments, preparing bills and receiving payment, completing insurance forms, submitting claims (such as CHAS, Medisave and Cynergy) and maintaining records, both manually or digitally
- Facilitating patient flow by notifying the dentist of patients’ arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
- Responding to patients’, prospective patients, and visitors’ inquiries in a courteous manner
- Keeping office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
- Maintaining the patient waiting areas and front-desk areas in a clean and neat state
- Protecting patient confidentiality by ensuring sensitive health information is secured by not leaving in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended
- Balancing cash register by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift
- Balancing cash register at the end of day and be accountable for end of day settlement
- Any other duties assigned
