Quality Engineer

Quality performance assurance of large format printers’ and accessories’ end-to-end manufacturing operations.

Manage production quality performance at manufacturing partners, ensuring all products manufactured continuously meet reliability performance and regulatory requirements, with no field escalation.

Resolve quality issues at root and drive quality improvements at manufacturing partners and suppliers. Actively collaborate and facilitate across functions and departments, analyzing performance data and information, meeting quality metrics and goals.

Ensure effective quality management system and processes are in-place. Provide recommendations to uphold quality standards and meet business needs.

**What a Quality Engineer (Large Format Operations) does at HP**:

- Ensure quality assurance in large format printers manufacturing operations, through HP Product Quality Assurance Plan.
- Manage quality performance of manufacturing partners in Singapore or overseas. Ensure Quality Management System and processes are effectively in-place.
- Lead quality team at manufacturing partners, collaborate across functions and departments, to identify deviations and non-conformances, resolve quality issues, identify and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform regular process and system audits at manufacturing partners to validate quality performance.
- Supervise HP third party quality inspectors to effectively perform outgoing product and process audits.
- Lead in Influencing upstream quality improvements at part suppliers. Work closely with procurement team to address part quality issues and continuously improve quality at suppliers.
- Review and analyze field performance with Customer Assurance team, to drive continuous quality improvements.
- Actively participate in digital transformation of data analysis, quality processes and systems.
- Participate in designing engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
- Participate in knowledge transfers from global business unit which requires travel out of Singapore, to establish product test plans for quality and reliability performance assurance.
- Participate in developing reliable, cost effective, high quality and sustainable solutions for HP large format printers and accessories.

**Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates with 0-1 years of experience in manufacturing or quality assurance.
- Eager to learn, connect, participate and contribute.

- Attention to details, able to identify rooms for improvement and with desire to improve.
- Ability to manage quality inspectors and technicians and manufacturing partners.
- With exposure to Quality Management System for manufacturing operations.
