Financial Crime Compliance aligns current activities within Global Risk and helps to build these into a more integrated framework to conduct Customer Due Diligence which enables HSBC to manage financial crime risk more effectively. It builds stronger controls to improve the way Financial Crime Compliance risks are managed in order to spot gaps as well as trends so that the team can take action. It proactively gathers and analyses financial intelligence in a smart way so that suspicious transactions, activities or connections can be identified and we can adequately protect our customers from the threat of financial crime.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an **Assistant Vice President, FC Investigations QA.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Perform quality assurance (QA) review on Financial Crime Investigation (FCI) cases in accordance with the relevant HSBC AML / FCI policies and department procedures within established timeframes
- Produce reports containing quality assurance results and associated metrics according to the QA requirements / procedures
- Maintain knowledge of regulations applicable to the business, as well as pertinent internal or regulatory policy and procedural changes
- Provide insight into quality gaps discovered as part of the quality assurance process and ensure these gaps are communicated to the managers of the Team
- Ability to assimilate large amount of information and completing QA reviews of the assigned samples within the set timeline
- Flexibility in adopting changes in corporate and departmental objectives
- Exhibit a willingness to provide input to achieve organizational objectives

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
- Prior AML investigations experience is preferred
- Good interpersonal, problem-solving, communications, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of laws, regulations and regulatory agencies related to money laundering, terrorism and fraud crime
- Certification in a professional association such as the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) is desirable
- Proven and progressive audit, compliance experience or equivalent
