As a trusted operator of critical market platforms, this organization plays a pivotal role in maintaining financial stability and confidence through sound risk management.

They are now looking for an accomplished Director, Risk Policy & Governance to spearhead the development, implementation, and oversight of risk policy frameworks across its exchange and clearing businesses. Based in Singapore, this senior role provides a unique opportunity to shape strategic policy frameworks, engage with senior leadership, and ensure risk practices meet evolving industry and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the formulation, documentation, and continuous refinement of risk policies, standards, and procedures across multiple risk disciplines
- Ensure alignment of policies with the organization’s risk appetite, strategic objectives, and applicable regulatory requirements (including CPSS-IOSCO PFMI, MAS guidelines, and related frameworks)
- Establish and manage a robust policy governance process, covering drafting, approvals, reviews, updates, and exception management
- Collaborate across risk, compliance, legal, and business teams to ensure policies accurately reflect controls, reporting needs, and methodologies
- Monitor global and local regulatory changes, interpreting new requirements and integrating them into the policy landscape
- Support regulatory reviews, audits, and examinations by preparing comprehensive policy documentation and responses
- Strengthen the group’s risk governance structure, clarifying roles, accountabilities, and ownership of risk management activities
- Oversee the development and communication of risk appetite statements and related metrics to support effective risk oversight
- Present policy recommendations and updates to senior committees, management, and board-level forums
- Foster productive relationships with business functions, technology teams, finance, internal audit, and external stakeholders including regulators and industry bodies

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on market or credit risk within financial institutions or market infrastructures
- Deep knowledge of financial markets, risk governance frameworks, and global regulatory requirements for financial market infrastructures
- Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining complex risk policy frameworks
- Strong ability to interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements into practical policies
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with proven experience engaging senior executives, boards, and regulatory bodies
- Solid leadership skills, including the ability to develop, mentor, and manage high-performing teams
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and resilience under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficiency in risk management platforms and policy lifecycle tools
- Relevant professional certifications (FRM, CRM, or similar) highly valued
