We are looking for an experienced and driven Sustainability Manager to oversee the calculation, analysis, and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for a client in the agri industry. The role will focus on ensuring compliance with European Union (EU) regulations and alignment with GHG Protocol and SBTi standards. This position will play a key role in supporting the organization’s sustainability goals through accurate data management, reporting, and the implementation of effective decarbonization strategies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**GHG Inventory Management**:

- Develop and maintain a detailed GHG inventory for all operations.
- Oversee the accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of emissions data.
- Model future emissions to support the organization’s decarbonization strategy.

**Capacity Building**:

- Deliver training sessions and raise awareness among employees about GHG management and sustainability initiatives.

**Strategy Development**:

- Set and implement GHG reduction targets and strategies in line with SBTi standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reduction initiatives into business operations.

**Compliance and Reporting**:

- Ensure compliance with relevant local, national, and international regulations on GHG emissions.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports to regulatory bodies and key stakeholders.

**Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Engage with internal teams and external partners to advance GHG reduction efforts.
- Represent the organization in industry forums and sustainability networks.

**Monitoring and Evaluation**:

- Track progress towards emissions reduction goals and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Lead the development and enhancement of GHG data collection and reporting systems in collaboration with the IT team.
- Assess the effectiveness of GHG reduction initiatives and recommend improvements.

**Technical Expertise**:
**Greenhouse Gas Accounting**:

- Proficiency in tools and methodologies such as IPCC, ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, and SBTi.
- Experience in estimating and managing emissions across the palm oil and banana production chains.

**Environmental Science**:

- In-depth knowledge of Forest, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) land emissions and geospatial data for carbon pool estimations.
- Expertise in GHG target setting, predictive modeling, and decarbonization strategies.

**Regulatory Knowledge**:

- Familiarity with local and international GHG regulations and standards, including benchmarks like CDP Climate Change.

**Communication and Collaboration**:

- Strong ability to work with operational teams, management, smallholders, voluntary certifications (e.g., RSPO, ISCC), and regulators.
- Skilled in preparing and presenting reports on emissions and sustainability efforts.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing GHG emissions within a relevant industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in calculating GHG emissions using internationally recognized methodologies.
- Prior experience in GHG reporting within the agricultural sector, particularly in the palm oil industry, is highly desirable.

**Reporting Structure and Employment Details**:

- This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Group Director of Sustainability.
