**SOMA HAUS EDUCATOR**

Soma Haus is a wellness clinic on the East Coast (Joo Chiat Neighbourhood) offering a multimodality approach to individual well-being. Soma Haus brings together industry professionals, health specialists and modern technologies under one roof to deliver an impactful self-care experience to a fast-paced, busy society.

Soma Haus has a strong focus on somatic wellness education. The space and offerings were curated to empower people with the knowledge and body awareness to take charge of their healing journey.

**THE MISSION OF AN EDUCATOR (the Role)**:
At Soma Haus, you are specialists that take care of the guest service experience. You work hand-in-hand with therapists, managers and other fellow educators to ensure day-to-day operations are running smoothly to ensure an exemplary experience for all guests. You will be educating guests on all services and treatments. Having a diverse understanding of health and wellness is preferred.

Educators are also tasked at taking care of the technical side of operations to ensure that they are running smoothly. This means keeping the space clean and presentable for all guests, running our reception services efficiently, and maintaining service standards of our saunas, ice baths and float pods.

**DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EDUCATOR (Essential Functions)**:

- Work hand-in-hand with the Educator and Therapist team to aid in all tasks to optimise the guest experience. This includes on-floor guest interaction, room tours, and recommendations for all services, treatments, packages and retail items.
- Guide guests through their treatment or service experience, making them feel safe, explaining the technology being used and the benefits, as well as making sure they always leave feeling better than when they walked in
- Perform guided sessions for Sweat & Freeze / Freeze. This includes the facilitation of breathing exercises, ice dips, breathwork and safety protocols.
- Attentive to detail and able to turn down service rooms and uphold high standards of presentation and cleanliness of the space; **Hospitality background is preferred**:

- Handle appointment scheduling, service/ treatment recommendations and client servicing (payments, refunds, exchanges, issues and gift cards); Perform basic check-out and navigate POS to facilitate end-to-end guest experience by conducting accurate and timely guest transactions.
- Follow up with leads regularly to ensure they have the most up-to-date information on events, offers, benefits, and other updates.
- **Be a team player**; proactively help other team members
- Proactively acquires knowledge/education regarding company general information, new events and workshops, help enhance processes, quality control, collect customer feedback/experiences
- “Demonstrates” the culture held within the company, including: attitude respect, support, empowerment, encouragement, safety, trauma-sensitivity, consent and interaction with other staff, and in-centre discussion of healthy lifestyle

AN EDUCATOR’S WORK DAY (The Hours):
Educators are expected to work 5 days a week, open and close independently and are **available to work weekends.**

**EDUCATOR MUST HAVES (the Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications)**:

- Passion, knowledge and active engagement in health and wellness. We expect you to try out our services, treatments and participate in our workshops and events
- Empathetic, trauma sensitive or keen on learning different approaches to tailor to different guest needs
- Must be solution-oriented and self-motivated
- Must have a strong work ethic, responsible and dependable
- Must be organised and meticulous
- Must have entrepreneurial spirit and proactive mindset
- Hospitality or customer facing experience preferred
- Multifaceted skillset and diverse working experience is valued
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to accept and proactively provide feedback; growth mindset
- General computer knowledge; MAC/OS preferred
- MindBody experience preferred
