**Responsibilities**:
As a Hardware Reliability Engineer Intern at Razer, you will be responsible for supporting the Hardware reliability Engineer in ensuring the reliability and durability of new gaming peripherals, including keyboards, mice, headsets, and other input devices. You will assist in the design testing, and validation processes for new products to ensure they meet both internal and external reliability standards before launch.
**Job Scope**:

- Assisting in the development and execution of **reliability test plans** for new gaming peripherals during the NPI phase.
- Supporting the **failure analysis** process by helping identify and root-cause product defects.
- Assisting with the development of **stress testing protocols**, including mechanical, thermal, and environmental testing to simulate real-world usage and extreme conditions.
- Supporting cross-functional teams including **Product Engineering**, **Manufacturing**, and **Quality Assurance** to ensure products meet design and quality expectations.
- Assisting in the **data collection and analysis** of test results, identifying potential risks and opportunities for product improvement.
- Contributing to the development of **reliability metrics** and reports to track product performance throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Participating in **design reviews** to ensure that reliability is a key consideration during the product development stages.
- Documenting test procedures, failure modes, and corrective actions, and maintaining proper records of all engineering activities.
- Occasional travel to 3rd party test labs for setup and Support

**Learning Objectives**:

- Gain hands-on experience in **reliability engineering** processes, **reliability standards and industry practices** for consumer electronics and gaming peripherals.
- Develop your understanding of **mechanical testing**, **thermal management**, and **electrical reliability** in the context of consumer electronics.
- Learn how to **analyze and interpret test data**, and gain proficiency in the use of reliability analysis tools such as **accelerated life testing (ALT)**, **failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)**, and **Weibull analysis**.
- Experience **collaborating with cross-functional teams** to integrate reliability considerations into the product development cycle.
- Develop **problem-solving and troubleshooting** skills by assisting with root-cause analysis of product failures.
- Learn how to use various **reliability testing equipment** (e.g., thermal chambers, vibration testers, shock testers, humidity chambers).
- Gain exposure to **quality assurance processes** and the role of reliability testing in product certification.
- Currently pursuing a **Bachelor’s** **degree** in **Mechanical Engineering**, **Electrical Engineering**, **C**o**mputer Engineering**, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of **reliability engineering principles** and **failure analysis** techniques
- ** Familiarity** with hardware development processes, particularly within the **gaming peripherals** or consumer electronics industry.
- Basic experience with **testing equipment** (e.g., temperature chambers, vibration testers, environmental testing) or the willingness to learn
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite** (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) for data analysis and documentation.
- Strong interest in **gaming peripherals** and the development of high-performance consumer electronics.
- Exposure to **reliability standards** (e.g., MIL-STD-810, IEC standards) or similar quality frameworks is preferred
- Familiarity with **data analysis software** or statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB, R) is preferred.
