Trainee Analyst

**Employment Type: Internship / Traineeship (3-6 months, flexible start date)**

Reports To: Investment Lead / Director

Suitable for: Students, recent graduates, mid-career individuals (no finance background required)

**About the Role**:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern / Trainee Analyst to support our investment research and reporting efforts. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with data, is curious about how investments work, and wants hands-on exposure in a small, collaborative business environment. No prior finance experience is needed — we provide the training.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Research & Learning
- Look up and summarize information on mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment products
- Monitor economic news and trends and translate key insights into short summaries
- Build understanding of different asset classes and how portfolios are structured

Data & Report Support
- Maintain Excel trackers for fund performance and portfolio data
- Assist in preparing simple charts and summaries for internal reviews or presentations
- Organize and update databases of fund factsheets, market reports, and product info

Project & Presentation Help
- Assist with preparing materials for internal discussions, client reports, or online content
- Create visually clean summaries and decks (PowerPoint or Canva, training provided)
- Participate in brainstorming sessions on how to present investment ideas more clearly

**Who This Is For**:

- You’re curious, responsible, and willing to learn, even if you have no finance background
- You’re comfortable working with Excel, Google Sheets, and can spot patterns in data
- You have an interest in investments, personal finance, or research, even if you’re new to it
- You’re organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy turning information into something useful

**Nice to Have (but not required)**:

- Familiarity with Excel formulas (XLOOKUP, charts, basic functions)
- Experience with Canva, PowerPoint, or basic data visualization
- Interest in writing short summaries or reports
- Exposure to investment platforms (like Fundsupermart, Endowus, Morningstar)
