Hiring Entity: Exyte Singapore Pte Ltd

We are looking for experienced Senior Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Supervisors to manage and supervise ELV systems in industrial construction projects.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Promote safe working practices and to protect the health and well-being of Employees, Sub-contractors and customers;
- Responsible for the EHS Performance and safety of sub-contractors and/or areas under supervision;
- Reports to discipline Electrical Engineer for technical matters;
- Ensuring installations are compliant with approved specification, current shop drawings and current space management drawings;
- Resolving site co-ordination problems with contractors. Providing proactive feedback to engineering where potential design impacts could result from proposed site determined decisions;
- Enforcing installation quality control in accordance with specifications;
- Ensuring method statements are followed;
- Ensuring that the full value of a risk assessment is reaped;
- Arranging mock-up locations and details. Assisting in inspections with the system engineer and obtaining agreement with all interested parties;
- Co-ordination of various mechanical contractors on site on a day to day basis;
- Leading the commissioning activities of all the mechanical equipment and installations on site;
- Witnessing of testing results for testing mechanical equipment and installation;
Show your expertise
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Institute of Technical Education Certificate or GCE ‘O’ Level preferred or related Electrical/ELV Supervisor discipline
- Degree or equivalent in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or relevant engineering disciplines
- Building and Construction Authority registered core trades foremen / supervisor
- Experience in construction industry
- Experience in on-site supervision and commissioning activities of instrumentation and control systems in the process, pharmaceutical, electronics or petrochemical industries
- Knowledge of main key Extra-Low Voltage systems in a project like Instruments, Direct Digital Controller, Programmable Logic Controller, Public Address, Access Control, Closed Circuit Television, Public Automatic Branch Exchange, Fire Alarm and Structured Cabling System
- Knowledge of key electrical equipment such as variable speed drives, low voltage switchgear including respective starter and motors
- Knowledge of Calibration, servicing and troubleshooting of instruments and controllers.
- Preferably conversant with Local Codes and International Standards
