**How you can make your mark**:
Make your mark as project controller at Boskalis In the role of project controller, you are a member of the projects for SMIT Salvage. The project teams work independently, often under challenging circumstances, at foreign locations. The projects on which you will work as a project controller vary in size, complexity and duration.

As a project controller you are responsible for the administration on the project and financial reporting of the project. You are also involved in tax and contractual matters, treasury and insurance. As a project controller you report to the regional controller or business unit controller that is responsible for the entire project.

You will be part of the project, where you will stay with co-workers for some considerable time according to a set roster. Flexibility is required as you might need to move from project to project on short/long-term assignments. You must be a team player who has ability to stand his/her ground in case of a different opinions.

**Your responsibilities as a project controller**:
In the role of project controller, you are together with the senior project controller, the sparring partner and the financial conscience of the responsible project manager. Together with a team of Project Controllers you are responsible for controlling our international projects. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary project team. Your posting may require you to work from the project site during the execution of a project or you may be posted to one of our regional offices around the world.

In addition to your responsibility for the financial administration and reporting of projects, you are also responsible for:

- Project Control, understand what is happening on the projects, support our project controllers and be responsible for an unambiguous way of working.
- Translate project control into financial control.
- Working Capital Management, monitoring timely and accurate cash flows for our projects.
- Budget & Forecasting, prepare the budget and forecast for our projects, the salvage team, our vessels and equipment and the development of working capital.
- Operational Performance, perform periodic checks to ensure we operate in line with Boskalis' quality management procedures and the Boskalis Financial Control Framework.
- Participate in improvement projects.
- Reporting, support the financial closing process and external reports by liaising with auditors and authorities.

**Your qualities and experience**

You can move ahead as a project controller if you have:

- At least have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or similar.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience as Project Controller or in similar job.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Are a team player who willing to go ‘the extra mile’, able to work independently and takes initiative.
- Pro-active, mature, analytical and meticulous with good organization skills.
- Intrinsically motivated to understand and improve the organization, the team and yourself.
- Enthusiastic and communicatively strong financial who can tell the story behind the figures and get colleagues to move where necessary.
- Interested in the dynamic culture of Smit Salvage and contribute to further professionalization of the organization.
- Have knowledge of Singapore Accounting Standards and Singapore CIT regulation.
- You are willing to travel internationally to project sites and stay for extended periods at various locations.
