Responsibilities

The SFSM assists to enhance the fire safety standard within The Gallery. Fire safety activities and fire prevention measures are also implemented by The Gallery and through the SFSM to promote fire safety awareness among the occupants in The Gallery. The SFSM helps to ensure that the fire safety standards in the buildings are maintained at all times:

- The SFSM is required to assist building owner in the performance of his duties under the Fire Safety Act or any related regulations to ensure that the fire safety measures and practices in the premises comply with the regulations:

- Supervise all fire safety works.
- To conduct daily check and remove or cause to remove any fire hazards that are found in The Gallery premises. SFSM shall device a schedule to do the fire safety and hazard inspection for entire Gallery. The schedule should cover the whole Gallery on a monthly basis.
- To oversee the maintenance of the fire safety systems in the premises.
- To test the fire safety systems to ensure that they are in good operational condition.
- To assist The Gallery in educating the occupants in establishing a fire-safe environment. The SFSM is to conduct Table-Top Exercise for FFT and Fire Wardens annually.
- To assist The Gallery to conduct fire drills and to evaluate the evacuation procedures.
- A detailed report has to be submitted to The Gallery after every Fire Drill within 3 working days. The format of the report has to be approved by The Gallery.
- To assist The Gallery in setting up a Fire Fighting Team made up of The Gallery’s Security and other Contractors. j) To conduct weekly/bi-weekly/monthly training for Fire Fighting Team/CERT team for emergency standby for 24/7.
- Ensure at all times that fire safety requirements are complied with. l) To put up monthly reports to The Gallery on the fire safety of the premises.
- Conduct training on first-aid, firefighting equipment training and evacuation.
- Update the contact list and firefighting member list monthly or when there is a change. p) Co-ordinate emergency or fire situation in firefighting and evacuation.
- Command & Control of Fire Command Centre (FCC).
- To assist The Gallery to collate the attendance taken by the fire wardens for accountability. s) To adhere with all instructions given by The Gallery.
- To submit a yearly report of all the Fire Safety activities and initiatives carried out during the calendar year

**Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in Facilities Management/Engineering or related
- At least 3 years of working experience is required and must possess a valid Senior Fire Safety Manager certificate accredited by SCDF.
